This weekend we took a quick trip to Savannah to tour SCAD. What an incredible school! If you are the creative type, they have something there for you. There are majors in fiber, sequential art (comic strips), architecture, graphic design, film and television, production design,... SCAD has restored building all over town to house their classes and studios and that is very cool. Examples: They turned old hotel buildings into dorms. An old junior high school now houses freshmen foundation classes.
We didn't have much time to tour Savannah itself and I'd like to go back again to see more. Tybee Island is very close and the first thing we did when we got to town was drive out to the ocean. Wouldn't it be hard to study, knowing you're only 30 minutes away from the ocean?!

I love Savannah...I went there several times with my godmother. Loved seeing the pictures.

When I went to grad school the beach was only 15 minutes away. I used to go study there in the afternoon and it was awesome but I was a commuter so I wasn't there all the time. Dale and I hope to visit Savannah in the next couple of years.

I am so glad that you had such a great experience. I think our daughter, Charlotte, would love SCAD. Hopefully we will get to go visit it in the next couple of years.

Glad I found you. Now I can keep up. Wish I knew you were in Savannah!
