Yesterday we put in our cool weather garden. I think we're a bit late for some of the seeds but I'm hoping for the best. We planted two kinds of lettuce, two kinds of spinach, beets, green onions, and carrots. We also put in some cauliflower plants.
Steve and I had a good chuckle over our all natural, biodegradable, earth-friendly row markers. We wondered if someone could market sticks. :)
Are you going to plant anything this year?

It gets too hot down here to plant anything. I don't have luck at all with veggies, but, I have 150 daffodils that are coming up. They're beautiful. :o)

I am not sure if I'll plant any vegetables this year, but I do have Canterbury Bell seeds from last fall to try. Mostly, I need to do a lot of weeding.
Please post your progress photos -- it will be fun to watch your vegetables grow over the next weeks and months!

I love the stick idea! It can't be any worse than the plastic bag/ziploc they advertise as a "water repelling Kindle bag." You'd make millions!
:)

the stick idea is awesome-beets? yes please. we're going for a variety of herbs and peppers as well as tomatoes squash and maybe beans. andrew and i made an agreement we'd to the peppers and herbs if he'd make sure the garden was watered-we'll see. maybe we can do some swapping?!

Ah, Spring time, lucky you! We won't plant anything in CO until mid-May. However, I am enjoying the grape fruit trees and the orange tree outside our window here in Phoenix!! It will be a shock when we return home at the end of the month!
Happy gardening!
:)

I tried marking plants with sticks and string when Belvedere was a puppy. He had a lot of fun with the sticks-just the string was left on the ground.
