Well, today was the day of my yearly physical. My doctor is out on maternity leave, so someone else was filling in. He gave me more information about thyroid problems and he didn't say anything about my weight. That earned him some points. But then he lost them. When he checked my neck and listened to my breathing, he sat down on the examination table behind me. That was kind of creepy. I was ready to elbow him and call for the nurse. I think that should be a good rule - never sit on the table with your patient.
Well, I'm off to band practice. Later I want to tell you about some yarn I'm trying for the first time. It's called Patons Soy Wool Stripes. I saw it at Michael's and got some because I had a coupon.
Oh, one more thing. We got our names for the One Yard Fabric Swap. I'm starting to get some ideas. It's fun trying to figure out what someone would like - it's a mystery to solve!
Doctors...blah! I like my doctor (which is good since I have to be there every other month) but I hate physicals. At least you got it over with! Now you can focus on more important things...like new yarn!

I've had the tremendous luck of having a new doctor for every single doctorin' need I've had for the last 7 years.
The last guy did the "sit behind me" thing, but I'd just gotten in my almost-hit-by-a-car-bicycle-accident and he could have sat in my lap, I didn't care so long as the Vicodine was being dispensed...and he was cute too. Okay, stopping now and going away :).

Doctor visits are never pleasant. I'm glad you're OK and that's over with for you!
I've finally made up my mind to get my iron levels checked tomorrow...thank goodness my doctor is female! Hope it's all over with fast.

I came here from Gracie's blog to check out the Christmas time swap. As a medical professional I need to let you know that what your doc did to examine you was completely appropriate and professional. The only way to adequately examine the thyroid/neck nodes, ect. is to palpate it from BEHIND and if you are sitting, the only way to do it is to sit too! Sounds like an excellent, meticulous doc, you're lucky :)

At least he didn't do what my first doctor in Spartanburg did. I will have to tell you about it sometime.
Beth, you have been a blogging dynamo lately. I can hardly keep up!
