Most of you are probably in bed by now and figured that I didn't get around to posting today. Not so! I just spent the whole day working on Emma's dress. It is still a WIP but I'm not going to post a picture until it's done, which should be very soon.
I was able to snap a photo of some mitts before the sun went down. The pattern is Dashing and I'm finding it to be a fun knit. They are for my brother and I need your opinion. Here's the scene that caused me to doubt if he'd wear them.
Me: I'm knitting these mitts for Tim because he keeps his house so cold. He can wear them while he's on the computer. Do they look too girly?
Steve: He won't wear them.
Me: What, are the cables too feminine? The mitts are brown, that's a nice manly color. Would you wear them?
Steve: I'd rather turn on the heat.
That gave me a good laugh even if I didn't appreciate his lack of enthusiasm for my project. So what do you think? Would a man wear these fingerless mitts?
I think my hubby would wear them. I know for sure my FIL would love a pair. They're great for photographers who want to keep their fingers free for the camera. I think it really depends on how cold you are. I like mine in the car.

Dale would wear them, if that helps.

That's hard to say. Most times "x would never do that" is 90% pulling personal feelings and thoughts (not x's) into the situation. Soooo, really, it comes down to knowing if your brother leans in the "cables aren't manly" (forgive us generations of burly Irish and Scottish sailors) direction...that's that.

I made some for my son and DIL...thinking that they could use them walking the dog, hiking, etc. My DIL loved hers and my son...said he'd never wear them. My hubby on the other had wants a pair.
