Various tomato varieties, including Cherokee Purple in the center
Well, today I picked the last of the tomatoes from my garden. They may not look as pretty as the ones from the beginning of the summer, but they taste just as delicious!
Have a great weekend, everyone!
* Tomato trivia: Do you know the name of the song that the blog post title is from? (I couldn't remember and had to look it up!) It's Let's Call the Whole Thing Off, written by George and Ira Gershwin for the 1937 film Shall We Dance, sung here by Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald.
I have so enjoyed the fruits of your garden this summer! thank you! (and I'm sure this last harvest will be delicious!!)

Taste is really all that matters. So sad to see them go, though.

I was going to say, once they're sliced up/in my mouth, I don't care how "pretty" the 'mato was if it's tasty :).
Oh how I miss home-grown tomatoes...

Call them whatever, but call me over to try them! Mine flopped this year, I'll try again next summer. Love love tomatoes
