The Word

  • 1 Corinthians 16:14
    Do everything in love.
  • Philippians 4:6, 7
Don't worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses every thought, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

ooohhh, you did great! I don't shop in thrift stores, but my mom used to.

I don't visit thrift stores very often but I enjoy it when we do. And the cooties thing doesn't bother me. I must be weird like that!

Sounds like good buys! I don't shop at thrift stores because there aren't many here. I think there's only one (the Salvation Army thrift store) that I know of and it isn't conveniently located. Now that you've mentioned it, the cooties problem kind of creeps me out a little too.

i've shopped for costume "parts" in thrift stores-especially when you're looking for something "old" those are the places to go, pj was ben franklin once, and my mom was mary poppins-thanks to the local charity shop we hit the jack pot. i'm a really odd size so unfortunately it's not the place for clothes shopping. i love how they call them "jumble shops" in the UK.

Yes! I enjoy thrift stores/consignment shops when i have time to really browse. I buy lots of clothes for the kids at consignment stores. And regarding the "cooties" . . . that's the inner germ-phobe talking! I have the same thoughts, and I either wash everything in hot water or dry clean immediately!
