I woke up this morning to read/hear about the terrible earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan. What does one say in a knitting blog when this happens? It seems a little odd for me to ramble on about what I've knit or cooked or read. So I will just leave you with the photo above of some of the hats I'll be sending to Estella. Doing something for those in need (even in a different part of the world) in a time like this feels like a good thing to do. Prayers going to all those in Japan and around the world who are affected by this latest natural disaster...
thank you so much Beth.

good job on the hats! ...it's hard to believe the coverage we're seeing in japan is real - it looks like a movie...

well said, i liked that the a pastor at a japanese church in roswell was on the news and boldly talked about trusting and praying to God during this time. great display of faith.

The hats are lovely. It's hard not to feel helpless when something like this happens.

I find myself clinging to what I know to be true about God. His grace is sufficient. Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus. He is the only safe place in the midst life's storms.

We were watching some of that situation online at school the other day and I just felt so horrified. I think it really does help when you "do" something. It's is so easy to get overwhelmed but it all...

What a wonderful project, knitting hats for Haiti. Still shocked at the before and after pics in Japan. I was able to see on facebook that a friend/family are doing okay. They live in Tokyo and did not have the effects from the tsunami, but did feel the earthquake. I can't imagine.
